a little autumn update

hello hello!! it's so great to see new people following the KT blog since my last entry. I admit it's been too long since that last post, but it's because I've been blessed and busy with KT business. I told hubby last week that I'm about as busy as I have time to be, and that makes me so happy. A few updates:
Kayt Taylor is/has:
...focusing on Eco-Friendly items... packaging, labels, materials
...hosting their FIRST exclusive show on November 12 & 13... RSVP HERE!
...now offering 4 different headband styles, and 2 different hat styles
...is in the process of creating an original eco-friendly bow/headband holder
...has reached 100 etsy sales
...has opened a KT business phone line
...upgraded the business cards
...purchased sew-in labels for the 2010-2011 seasonal scarves
...continuing to be profitable each month
That last one probably means way more to me than to anyone else, but here's why. In recent months I've transitioned towards quality materials-- name brand fabrics, earth friendly materials, and just MORE supplies so that I can offer my customers MORE. I was a little nervous about some of this, but KT customers have continued to show their support and I am happy with the decisions I've made.

When I'm not working on Kayt Taylor business, here's what's going on in life:
...I'm still watching the 4 cutest munchkins... They've each celebrated a birthday in the last 3 months (Brycen turned 7, Prestyn turned 5, and last week the twins (Kelyn/Kennedy) turned 2!!)
...Attended our church's Middle School Retreat this past weekend. We took 25 teens to camp and spent the weekend eating junk food, playing dodge ball, singing, dancing, and discussing their faith.
...I'll be headed off for my 2nd half-marathon this weekend! Ahhh!
...Continuing to coach my Girls On The Run 3-5th grade team 2x's a week. We're in week 7 of 10 and the girls will now focus on organizing their own community project. We'll end the season later this month with a GIANT 5K downtown. There will be almost 700 girls and a total of more than 1250 participating. I also blog weekly as a guest blogger for our local paper in their online running section. I talk about my own running along with the GOTR season.
...And, co-facilitating a girls group at a local middle school to discuss and learn about relational aggression and the different types of bullying. Each week I meet with eleven 6th grade girls and we talk about life as a "middle-schooler" in today's world and the negative effects bullying has on each of us as the bully, victim, or bystander.
